Is diclofenac for arthritis pain?  Can you get something else if you can no longer take it due to MTX?

Yes, Diclofenac is for the arthritis pain. It helps, marginally. That's why I was so eager to drop the med in the first place. I will get more relief from the MTX.

That is because I want you not to be too hopeful on success. Certainly it may work, but beware that you race has not been run with this medication.

Hi Caroline. I believe the MTX is for the inflammation of the skin, ears, and many other areas on the skin. Although there have been cases of MTX being prescribed for psoriatic arthritis, in this case it's being used to treat the scaling, lesions and raised places on my skin. In addition, it's for the psoriasis in my ears, near my eyes, scrotum, and in my nose as well.

Over here in NL mtx is standard prescribed for Psoriatic Arthritis, Apparantly rheumatologists over here don’t know about this research.
