I won't bore you with my story, but like you, I've had to deal with a terrible past that caused me to develop PTSD. And you're right, the stress is also my trigger for psoriasis.
I have been in mental therapy for many years and it has helped me to reduce a lot of stress, and the psoriasis is almost gone. When I'm stressed, it comes back.
So if you live your life the way you want to, like going out with the camper, doing the things that make you happy, making your own choices, you will feel so much better about yourself. This is a great sterss reducer.
And if there's a situation that makes you stressful, like your son staying at your home, choose for yourself, let him stay just one night, or whatever makes you feel less stressed in that situation. It's your health (also your metal health) you play with and don't take it lightly because you know it will affect you.
It's okay to choose for yourself, people have to respect this.
I hope everything keeps going in the positive direction! Good luck!
