Update time
I have recently tested adding back some foods. It all started with me trying some rice crackers and bagels that had potato starch in them. As potatoes are a nightshade vegetable, I was hesitant as they were a major trigger for my psoriasis. As it had been 16 months, I thought I would try, and to my surprise I got no reaction. So then I jumped in head first and ate some organic tater tots, again no reaction, and I have successfully eaten them 5 more times with no reaction. I then tried green peppers, two times without a reaction, and last night ate some food with red pepper on it without causing a flare. So it seems as though peppers (another nightshade) are not causing any flaring. The next test will be tomatoes, that was my biggest trigger. I will brave it up this next week and try tomatoes, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I have been really vigilant about taking marshmallow root twice a day, setting timers on my phone to remind me. I think it has been a big helper with gut healing.
