I started cosentyx and have had my week 3 (4th injection) loading dose a couple of days ago. I have seen a massive improvement with my skin and it has cleared just about everywhere apart from my hands which are my stubborn areas. I think those places, like your scalp, will be the last to clear and I use a bit of steroid ointment to help it along now and then.
I am delighted that something is working after trying acetretin and humira over the last year with no success. I do have cold symptoms....sore throat and nasopharyngitis but I take hope from Dr Fred and as my body gets used to it the symptoms will ease.
I watch your journey with interest and hope it will go well for you
We are close to the same schedule as I'm not far off my loading doses. My first maintenance dose is in 3 days.
You know, I have noticed a bit of sinus issues, very similar to cold symptoms lately. It's not really uncommon for me to have that, but I'll have to pay a bit more attention to see if it's somehow connected. Still no skin improvement, I'm trying not to use the Talconex until after my next dermatologist appointment next month as I really want to get her opinion on how she thinks it's working for me. Hopefully my stubborn scalp will start to get better. My rheumatologist said I'd need to give it at least 3 months to know if it's helping or not so I still have a month or two left.
Glad to hear it's working so well for you! Keep us updated on how it continues for you and I hope your cold symptoms lessen soon.
