Hi Stacey and a big to the club. Sorry I wasn't here last night to answer you I'm usually on at that time .On here you will find a great bunch of people ready to offer support and advice. We do let our hair down occasionally and venture into the off topic section, where there is some light hearted banter , a good place to meet . And talk off topic..........
I'm afraid I can't be much help with finding your coal tar paste, although looking it up I see amazon have a couple of sellers of coal tar preparations.
I have not used coal tar for many years, but have had great success with my current treatment Fumaderm which is available in the uk on the NHS. There are many other treatments discussed on here, and I am sure you will find one that works for you, and give you your life back
If I were you I would get to see my dermatologist and ask about the different treatments you can read about on this site, they may well suggest methotrexate, personally I would try to avoid that . I took it for over a year and it worked fine but made my life a misery. In as much as I felt sick after taking them and felt unwell for a couple of days after....... Go well armed with information and whilst coal tar may be treating the skin, as you know the effect only lasts a short while .
Times and treatments are changing,
I wish you good luck in your search but as I said I would look for a long term solution, not cure, it makes you feel so much better. Oh and try to stay positive and stress free, not easy with 4 children I know but try to get some "me time to relax"
And I hope to see you again on the forum
