I’ve been told it’s fine on the face too, but I guess where eyelids are already thin skin you need to be careful. That was advice given to me, but I would always say to follow advice given to you on steroids by your own doc/derm.
Also, might it be the sun triggering the psoriasis? I was given light treatment years back, though I told them it was a bad idea, and where it burned my skin I got psoriasis.
I have heard of a thing called weekend therapy where you use it twice a day a week to keep it at bay. That shouldn't do long term damage.
I was prescribed an eye ointment version of the 1%. So no biggie if it goes into my eye. I think I may stop using it on my eye and just keep it constantly moisturized, I am worried about the effects of thinning. So I'll see if I can leave it for a week to 10 days, and if it's bad, try and use the ointment again.
I doubt the sun. In summer I was at the beach often and my psoriasis got better! I didn't do anything and over time it seemed to have cleared.
I am trying to be in the sun for 10 mins a day minimum between 10 - 2 to get the UV. But, I am light skinned, so I could be potentially giving my self sunburn. Because I then go for a run in the later afternoon lol.
