I found that melting it helped with applying in on the scales and like I said I really liked the warmth, it was soothing. I could still rub the oil into my scalp. I had always used it straight from the jar, which works well but thought I'd give melting it a try and was really happy with the results.
Dave, I also use a shampoo and conditioner with coconut oil which I love. It helps a bit with moisturizing but as bad as things got I decided to try the tar shampoo, didn't help though. I'm hanging in there, hope you and your family are doing well Dave!
