Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!
I was on Enbrel. Then Humira, that lasted three years. My doctor switched me to Stelara after that. Stelara was ok, but left me spotty and I didn't like the side effects. I switched to Cosyntex in 2015 when it first came out. It worked better than Stelara, I didn't have so many side affects but it still left me spotty.
I signed up for Siliq whe it came out over the summer. I'm happy I did, for the first time in 20 years of trying to rip my skin off, I'm 100% clear!
There is a suicide warning and you have to consent and get your doctor to sign up to it. I read up on the original study. I think it was just statistical noise, there were 6 cases of suicide in a 6000 person study, and one of it was actually an overdose. There was no showing of causation. If it had been two or three, I don't think the FDA would have cared. Personally I haven't felt depressed or whatever, just happy and hoping this drug lasts a good long time.
Take the warning with a grain of salt. I just wanted to let people know this works, in my case it was completely clear skin for the first time in a very long time. The long duration efficacy data is encouraging, Ill let people know how it works out over time, but so far no complains
If anyone else have tried this and want to compare notes please post and let me know, Thanks!
