I've done numerous topicals, phototherapy, and Humira. I took a break one year ago to try and tackle my P naturally. Now it's coming back. I exercise regularly. But I admit, my diet is not the best P friendly, and I definitely enjoy my adult beverages. And now I'm starting to get joint pains. Went back to my derm. He recommended Stelara. He said his derm office administers the most Stelara in the state of WA. So I'm feeling pretty good about it. Labs are done, and now just waiting for the next steps. My P isn't super crazy...elbows, half my scalp, and now showing up on legs, but it's growing and driving me crazy. Looking forward to relief, and learning about your stories with Stelara. Can I still enjoy my adult beverages?!?!? I will definitely be cutting back, but come on, I want to be realistic here.
Hi Seattlemom a warm to the club you have found a great place to meet and chat with fellow sufferers who have been through similar experience to yourself, and most if us are trying to keep life as real as possible while dealing with the disease .....I'm sorry the natural route didn't work out for you, I myself have no self discipline and I like my food and drink too much so I rely on drugs to control my psoriasis.
We are a friendly group who are all happy to share their experiences and welcome questions if you have any
Stelara is a good drug and many members here are using it successfully and even having a drink whilst on it ...I don't think you even need to cut back judging by the comments on this off topic thread [Group Specific]
I look forward to reading more from you and hope it goes well when you get on it, if the tests come back clear
Good luck
Jim
