Interesting that you mention banana peels as they have definitely been a cure for another skin condition I had. They were solar keratoses which are quite harmless and don't itch but they are very unsightly crusty brown growths. I had a lot of them and a skin specialist said there was no effective treatment. I had a hunch to try banana peel and put pieces of peel, inside facing down, over the growth and held them on with sticking plasters which I replaced every so often. After a few weeks the growths fell off leaving a clean shallow wound which healed over leaving no scarring. I am still working on eliminating some more of these from my torso and plan to take photos at each step of the process. The skin specialist says he sells tiny 25ml dropper bottles of a medication made from something extracted from bananas but it doesn't remove the lesions entirely and it costs $200! The ones I totally removed with the banana peel haven't come back and it's it's been 4 or 5 years now.
