You sound a lot more positive today the trip to the doctor seems to have perked you up

Home light therapy is not something I would recommend, but people do use these lamps ...if you go that route do be very careful the uv is very powerful and you could damage your skin ...that's why it's best controlled at a clinic where the timing and distance from the tubes is controlled

The Acetretin (Soriataine) is a good option for you it is more likely to give you long term clearance  and you might not get too many of the side effects ....I think if my current drug was not working, I would give soriataine a go after reading members threads on here, yes there could be side effects .. but for me the risk would be worth it to get long term clearance

This is just my opinion having read a lot about acetretin and in the past having had UV treatment until the hospital said I had had too much in my life ...yes it can clear psoriasis ...but it will usually come back a few weeks or months later and you have to start again

Dead Sea salts are expensive, there are other things in the natural treatments board that might be as beneficial without costing as much see the link Natural Treatments For Psoriasis

Welcome SVP,

See if you cannot get Fumaderm if you ultimately need a systemic treatment. The active agent is neuroprotective, and while not directly anxiolytic, it may still be very useful.

Cheers,

Bill

Just read your previous two posts eek give up alcohol  Confused give up fags  Confused if you enjoy them I say just cut down, Acetretin guidelines on drrinking are here  Acitretin

I have never cut my drinking down ( I don't drink a great deal but have been known to fall over ) I don't smoke so don't know why you would have to stop that if it calms you, it seems foolish to stop unless you want to ...it will just stress you more and that will make the psoriasis even worse
Again just my opinion ..but it's your life and there has to be some enjoyment cheers

I see... Not planning to go to Dead Sea, but salt is available here in the pharmacy, i will give a try if my clinic derma doc will approve it.
As for the lamps - FDA has approved them, so may be i give it a try as well, i cannot be out of work for so many hours - it is three times a week far away from my office...And yes, Acetretin  side effects are too scary for me at this moment, will talk with prof PS doc next week (today's visit was not very much useful, she did not even give any observation or check up, just told me the diagnosis and that was it) Whistle

Ye, I want to keep some normal life, but still have to see the real PS derma doc and then decide where to go...I still know so little about how it develops and if any remission is available... For now I am still in the dark since anyone reacts differently on the same treatment. That is why i keep on hold any oral medications - hair loss and liver fat, and stomach disorder, and mood change (I read your link carefully, thank you very much, Jim) - i am not sure yet...
If any other options fail, i consider oral pills for sure...Rolaf
Hope you have good remission time, do you?   shake

Good luck. I think that a PC member from BC, William Mateychuck, has been clear for years with it. Heaps of great treatments these days thankfully, so you will find a treatment that suits you if you look hard enough.

Oh, that is interesting, but in here province from province have different regulations, i definitely will talk to my doc about this, thank you so much!
PS: do you by any chance have a link to this person's page or whatever - where he published his success story? Sorry for asking, just in case...
