I was about 12 when patches appeared on my knees and elbows - my mum made more of a fuss than i did - there was stuff going on at home but i dont remember being stressed or depressed until my teens when the Psoriasis spread.
Im 33 this year and dont to the best of my knowledge have arthritus - sure i get pains in my knees ocasionally but if im honest thats cos i comfort eat and hate exercise! I think my aunt had it at a very early age but neither my borther or sister have it - although my brother has keloid scars and i do wonder if that could be a link

I don't actually remember. I was a sickly kid but most of my diagnoses began in my late 20's and early 30's and they just keep adding to them. I lose one diagnosis only to gain 2 or 3 more.
I remember Dad had really bad Psoriasis in his scalp but it's totally gone now. Not sure how he did that. I must check when they get back from their 40 night cruise.

I was 13 when I was diagnosed with psoriasis, however for about 8 months the doctor was convinced it was eczema "/

I remember it was March 2010 when my Psoriasis began. I was 41. Came out of nowhere and completely floored me.
I have PPP and, at it's peak, I had 80% coverage. The only bits of me that were unaffected were my neck and face. My Dad had Plaque Psoriasis on his elbows and knees for most of his life. I never realised how many different types there were until I got my 'evil skin'.

The results of the vote are interesting - mine started in my mid to late 30s, over 10 years ago. I really feel for people who've had it since they were young.
I've always had a very dry scalp and that's where it all began, and got worse, spreading to other parts of me, when I had problems with stress. It hovered round my eyebrows but seems to have held off, I've heard its rare on the face - its bad in and round my ears, though, and on bits of the scalp line. After a bereavement it galloped across me but thankfully subsided after just over a year or so and very careful use of prescriptions - but since then comes back in different ways whenever it wants, both the dry scaly sort (on my back, elbows, knees), sore red patched (armpits) and red blotches (legs). Hi I was nearly two when I got psoriasis, but my dad and nan both had it. So it was no surprise to my mum.
