Psoriasis Club Teens Weekender
#1
I won't bore you with the history as it can all be found on the forum and our home page but it's Psoriasis Club's 13th birthday at the end of this month and I thought why not have a weekender.

So now we are teens (well not many of our members are, though some think they are) where do we go from here ? Well I recently announced that I have put enough funding in place to keep us going till 2025 so we will at least make it to 15. At the moment I see no reason to stop, but I don't like making promises I can't keep so for now let's just carry on.

I can remember reaching thirteen and my young friends asking me what it felt like, my answer was that it felt the same as it did yesterday. I did become an Uncle though not long after my thirteenth birthday and that felt a bit strange.  Big Grin

Is thirteen unlucky ? To some "Triskaidekaphobia" is a big thing so if you are one of those people please don't keep away from Psoriasis Club. You will come to no harm here and who knows it could end up being lucky for you as there are plenty of friendly members waiting to share information and support.

Another way of looking at it is you can't change your age so neither can we change the age of Psoriasis Club, and why should we when our members have made well over 200,000 posts. They should all feel very proud of what they have done to help Psoriasis Club become what it is over the past 13 years.

Thank you to all our members for getting us to our teens you are a great bunch and I couldn't do it without you. Have a tart.

*Oh whilst I was thinking about what to put for our 13th birthday I started a thread asking if anyone remembered being 13, it got some interesting replies and our members can read it here [thread=7741]

Tarts!  How wonderful and thoughtful.   Heart

HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY, PSORIASIS CLUB!

From Day One, Psoriasis Club has offered hope, information, community, and humor.  And it's continued growing and being a good thing in this world for 13 years.  Well done!   Clap

I have learned so much here and have found a way to cope with itching, flaking, and even saw my skin begin to clear.  Being able to advocate for myself by gaining knowledge of treatments, therapies, and talking with others has made a significant difference in my life. I'm really grateful for Psoriasis Club.  Thank you, Fred and esteemed members.   Heart

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY PSORIASIS CLUB

Thanks Fred for giving us such a great forum to come to with our psoriasis problems, I think I've been coming here for around 11 of the 13 years and have enjoyed the comradeship and friendship of yourself and other members and am sure 13 will be a good year for the club.

Having helped countless numbers of members through difficult periods of their lives and hearing the relief they have got from being here is very heart warming
I salute you Fred for not giving up despite some difficult times

Not forgetting the social off topic side of the club which has , games jokes and general banter and threads about everyday life ... Not to be missed

@FW Thank you, I'm pleased to hear it has helped you. But I couldn't do it alone and it's people like you that keep me motivated to keep it going.  Smile

@Jim Thank you Jim yes you know first hand how difficult it has been for me in the past sometimes, but as you also know if I promise something I back it up and we will still be here in 2025.  Have one of these.  hair

@Caroline I think you are our longest serving member that is still posting, so I tip my hat to you too.  78
