Aww it’s a shame about the rash - do you think the drug is starting to fail to work? I would have thought if you’re having a reaction to the drug the rash will get worse especially after you take it.

Hopefully the biopsy will find what it is. And there are the alternatives as you say to move to if necessary, here's hoping you can stay with it as it's been so good for the psoriatic arthritis

Yes Jim I'm hoping it's not the Cosentyx. I have never been this good with psoriatic arthritis and to be honest it's frightening thinking I may have to change

Thank you Artemie, yes I can live with it if it is just psoriasis. I have always said I take Cosentyx for psoriatic arthritis, so a bit of psoriasis is nothing compared with pain and no mobility.

Yes TL that was my and the dermatologists thought. She asked if it got any worse after the shot, but it doesn't and I did point out that it seems to get worse when it is hot. If it is psoriasis then it could be failing, but it's still working for psoriatic arthritis. So I'm hoping I can at least stay on till the Spring as Winter is when it can get worse.

Thank you all for the encouragement, you all now how disheartening it can be when a treatment looks like it is failing. But for now I can keep positive as I'm still able to live an almost normal life without pain.  87

I really hope it's not the Cosentyx… although hope it's not psoriasis either.

Definitely hope you don't have to look at another biologic, but of course if you do you're well informed on your options. Wink

Good luck Fred!! Bigarm

Been 3 months since last visit and things have been very stressful for me the past couple of months, but all in all it's going well.

First the psoriatic arthritis is still in remission.  87

The psoriasis has gone down, but I do have the odd moment when I get sort of little pimples on my upper arm and buttocks. Not exactly sure what is going on there but it is a bit like what I thought were heat bumps before on my belly. I have had nothing back from my dermatologist so she is happy for me to continue and a bit of diprosone soon calms it down.

I'm wondering if sometimes I'm having a mild reaction to Cosentyx. I had my shot two weeks ago and that's when I noticed the little bumps, will have to keep a look out after my next shot.

Apart from that I'm still very pleased.

After all you’ve been through Freddy, I’m surprised that you haven’t had an outbreak of psoriasis mate but it’s good to read positive things about you.

Onwards and upwards, let’s hope it stays this way for you Fred Thumb

That is good, Fred. The arthritis is the killer, so having it under control is 99% of the battle. My toy poodles are my most effective stress relief for me, but they can cause me annoyance walking in the bush in the early morning if I come across someone who they don't consider to be of good character. I hope 2020 is better for you and Mrs Fred.

Cheers
