I forgot to update on this (my bad).....
Went to derm on 18th March and saw my consultant's registrar and he said NO to reducing the dosage of acitretin.....said pretty much what you guys said in that it might come back with a vengeance and might be more tricky to control again.....
Went for my next appointment on 10th June and saw my consultant derm and he said YES to reducing medication and told me to have two days off a week from taking acitretin (10mg), so that's what I have done.... so far so good!!
Appreciate that this wouldn't be possible for everyone, but wanted to give it a go and see how it goes in the coming weeks/months. I am seeing the derm nurse in early October - I only see the consultant once every 6 months.... so won't see him again until December.
