Has anyone here gotten worse on biologics? I just started cimzia about a month ago and I feel like things are getting worse. Is this common?

It shouldn't. I've been on Siliq since last summer, 100% clear skin since then (for first time in my life). I don't see any reduction in effectiveness since I've been using it, and for sure I haven't felt any depression (I think that's totally b.s. based on my first hand experience) very happy so far with the results.
Up to you and your doctor but maybe you should give Siliq a try, it's supposed to be the lowest priced of all the biologics out there, despite being the most effective, go figure...gl

Ive tried a lot of different things and this has happened on other meds. Just frustrated and curious why this may be happening.

What do you mean by worse ?
If you mean the psoriasis has getting worse, then no it only ever got better for me. If you mean health wise in another way. I did have a bad reaction to Remicade and Humira.

Not uncommon for this to occur with TNFs... have tried Stelara?

I have had biologics not work at all, and another work very well. I guess they don’t all work for everyone..

Yeah I know many have tried with not working. Im just trying to find some literature or something that describes why it may get worse and to see if its common or not.

The number is around 10% that Psoriasis does not get better or flares up. As for the research, it’s listed in phase III trials for each of the manufacturer.
There two things you can try - add nother drug such as MTX, or switch to another bio that isn’t a TNF. |
