Mostly we were talking about the Suicide warning in this post: Siliq gets FDA approval for treating psoriasis I can't talk for the others comments, but for me it is not something I would want to take as there are plenty of other treatments available that do not have those warnings. It's just our thoughts and it's reassuring to read your post and thank you for taking the time to register and give an opinion. I prefer hearing people accounts of a treatment rather than any study and that is why we are here. We share our own experiences and your Sister has given a positive experience of this treatment and her input could help others with the decision. Tell your Sister thank you and here's to a long lasting relief after 20+ years. By the way welcome to Psoriasis Club. And tell your sister if she wants to join us she will be made very welcome. We are also happy to help her find her way around the forum if she wishes, we know it can be a bit daunting for some but we have a very friendly bunch of people always willing to help others settle in as well as Staff that can point new members in the right direction. Regards. Fred.

Hi, Just found this thread. I've been on Siliq over four months now. So far, it's been fantastic, 100% clearance and no side effects.

Hello Evan, to Psoriasisclub, As you have seen a group of fellow sufferers, communicating about the various options we have on treating our Psoriasis. Great that Siliq is working for you. That is another positive point for Silic. Tell something more about yourself and enjoy on the forum. Cheers, Caroline

Thanks, Caroline. I was an examiner with the SEC, the gub'mint, for 15 years. Just moved from CA to PA a few years ago, got married, raising a baby daughter
She's the best thing that came along in my life, and I hope to god my psoriasis is not genetic for her sakes. I just wanted to post and encourage people to give Siliq a try, and find out if anybody else have also tried it so we can compare notes. So far my results have been really outstanding so I'm very excited atm. There is a suicide warning on this drug, but I think people need to take it with a grain of salt. I did the research and imo it was just staitiscal noise/bad luck during the study. It blocks the IL17 same as Talz and Cosentyx so there really should be no difference other than degree of efficacy. Let me know if anyone has tried it, it's only been available since this summer, so early days.

Just received notification about a recent post, so thought I'd pop back in. Clearly my sister hasn't made her way to joining/posting. The last I spoke to her a month ago, she was still all clear. I will see what else I can learn of her experience. She is planning to join us at our family holiday gathering... which is encouraging, as she often finds reasons not to.
Glad to hear there is at least another successful experience from it. Congrats. |
