Just been reading about tests that went on a few years back where they injected bee venom into plaques with good results, has anyone else heard of this?!

Interesting concept. I have only a couple of things that would make me question this treatment. The first is that of allergy. Most people dont know they are allergic untill its too late. I do vaguely remember an article ages ago about using live bees for something but the alzheimers is kicking in big time and I can't remember for what Huh .

Yes in the distant past I seem to remember mentioning it to my dermatologist a few years back every appointment I had I told her with another "cure" I had read about like bee stings , then banana skins, she always looked forward to the next thing I would ask about ...she always pooh poohed the idea

But yes there is literature out there that talks of bee venom which has known health benefits as it contains amongst other things Mellitin which does something to our adrenal glands .

Bee venom sounds to me like a painful treatment .....to say nothing of the possibility of anaphylactic shock

Nope not heard of it.

But to be honest I wouldn't take any notice if I did see it. My thinking is if it was that easy all these things would have been tried by now, and if it was that good then we wouldn't all be here discussing it as we would be free from psoriasis.

So for me it's like 99% natural treatments. They don't work, they have been around for thousands of years yet we still have people with psoriasis looking for an answer.

The future for treating psoriasis is getting nearer, but it's the pharma companies that will find the answer. Not all of us may like it, but if it's not been done naturally by now then it aint gonna be.

Sorry TL and anyone else but the future for treating psoriasis is not in the past.

We need Bees for pollination and the honey they produce is a brilliant product, but let's just leave the poor little bees alone and let hem get on with what they have been doing for thousands of years.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It seems to be a chinese treatment. Some (dutch) sites are talking about it.
But again other sites know of it, and state that there is no proof that it will work. The tricky thing is that I found the last statement at a site that looks professional, but that has no reference at all to people or organization that is behind it... obscure.

Oh and btw Fred, don't count too much on the bees, or at least keep them on a leash Smile Otherwise Monsanto or Bayer will kill them.

I'm fine here we have loads of Bees and they are very welcome. And none of your hated companies will ever set up here. Wink

I brought it up because I'd seen a study done, I don't go looking for herbal or Chinese medicines.

I can send you the link to the study if you like Fred?

I don't think it's quite as ridiculous as it sounds, also I don't always believe the adage that if it worked we'd have it already, in this day and age drugs companies do everything they can to block 'natural' cures because they can't patent them.

Can you send it to me please

I agree there's no profit for pharmaceutical companies for promoting natural remedies and always good to look what's being researched...  Thumb and keeping an open mind
