Hi, i'm currently on fumaderm and it has almost cleared my psoriasis. However the psoriasis on my ankles is being stubbron and doesn't seem to be clearing. Also does the pigmintation leave ? I still have red skin colouring?

Hi Braye Fumaderm is a slow drug to clear you completely, are you on the full dose of six tablets a day?
If so how long have you been on full dose ?

The pigmentation of your skin the redness will almost certainly go and revert to normal skin colour. If however you are left with white spots where the pigment has gone from your skin..I think that the colour should return but may take time and you may need a bit of makeup if it bothers you. Your skin will be flat just lacking pigment.
I still have a couple of white spots that show up more in the summer when I get my tan Blush they are on my lower legs

I think its still red as it may be active still. Ive a few faint plagues slightly flakey left. I have white spots on my arms because i got a lot of sun during the summer. It doesnt bother me once its not flakey and red

That's good that you have so much clearance on 4 a day..... But if the ankles don't start to subside it may be worth asking to increase to 5 a day just to get total clearance .... When you have that after a couple of months you can start to reduce to a maintenance dose, for me if I go below 4 tablets I get the plaques start to reappear

The White spots don't worry me either as it's not like psoriasis and nobody shies away from a few white spots
I'm sure your ankles will clear, there is usually somewhere stubborn to remind you that you have the disease

Yes it's always there at the back of your mind it's the first thing I think of in the morning and I'm always relieved even now, when it's still clear. I used to dread going to get my hair cut and prepared my scalp for a week before I dared go
85 I have the same problem with dresses 85 I'm putting that before anyone else does....

I still cant believe that im practically clear no flaking its amazing. Yeah i can relate to that too, always in the back of your mind. Effecting little things throughout the day, but now im much happier with life. I'm an active person so it sometimes held me back in that respect.

Big Grin it's great to reclaim your life and feel you can mix socially again, but I think this disease makes us more tolerant of others as most of us have been shunned in the past

I'm glad that you found this treatment at your young age it should enable you to become more self confident ( not that I'm suggesting you're not confident) but when meeting people not having to try to hide the plaques, filled me with confidence  and not having to say sorry for the pile of flakes you leave at friends houses

Yes Fumaderm is a life changer ... For the better .. Goodnight Braye   Sleep (by the way I don't wear dresses)  Tongue
