I don't know but getting your mothers milk would be the best way to go as you spent 9 months in your mothers body and it makes sense to continue being fed by her ?

I think its beneficial, more for some than others, just not sure it can be associated with every health issue. Although it could be. I certainly don't know just thinking out loud.

Correct me if I am wrong - but isn’t psoriasis generally a genetic issue (yes, it can be drug induced, but typically goes away after discontinued treatment)? So what does matter if you breast feed or not? Maybe you get it a bit sooner? But what does that matter in the long term.

Me too, some say it's genetic, some say it's stress, some say it's your gut going wonky, the truth is (as far as I see it) no one really knows.

Well…. We know that there are quite some genes involved.
We also know that there are a lot of triggers, like stress, trauma, medications, etc.etc… both can go together but like Fred I do believe that anyone… can get psoriasis. It’s not only the genes to my idea, the chronic element is deep in our system as once tilted it keeps on going, the genes can make us more vulnerable and “maybe” breastfeeding can make us somewhat less vulnerable, but I don’t have an idea how much less.

You’re not going save the world by forcing women to breastfeed. Just my 2 cents.

They don’t on the whole require forcing! It’s funny that you might think women would prefer to use bottle feeding
I did breastfeeding with my children because it is supposed to be better for them, and it was so much easier than having plastic bottles and steriliser and formula. I am sure my parents generation would have done it more but I think it was the general trend to use bottle at that time.

Even when I did it with mine, the midwives weren’t particularly supportive back then and made it plain their lives would be easier if I’d chosen bottle feeding.
One night I asked if they could take my baby for a while like they had with the baby opposite and they said no because I had chosen breastfeeding. Needless to say when I had my next baby I got out of there the same day so I didn’t have to spend a moment longer with those people and in that horrible environment than I had to.

I did it for about a year. It was not a chore at all and I hope it’s helped towards their general health.

Here in the USA 25% of mothers breast feed 3 months onwards - so must give it a shot, but ultimately discontinue. Many doctors:hospitals try to talk you out of bottle feeding, but I think it should be left up to the mother.
