Aha thank you Jim that explains a lot, I just saw the heading "Fumaderm and itching" and thought it was about Fumaderm.

Maybe I should have reread the whole thread, but as it's now 6 pages long I didn't.

it is taken in injection form - as I have never self administered an injection - I have to be taught - I think it is like teaching a diabetic to self inject insulin

humira is one name for it - the other name - the one on the paperwork sounds greek to me - it has way too few vowels LOL

Is it still Adalimumab / Humira that you will be going on? Caroline gave a good explanation of the MAB drugs earlier in this thread
I'm sure you will be fine with the injections I think they will be the spring loaded needles ,you put into the stomach area, it will soon become second nature. The benefits should be very worthwhile. I'm looking forward to reading good news from you, when it starts to work.....

Oh sorry your thread confused me, it may be worth starting another thread about your experience with Humira.

The injections are easy to do, they will make sure you're happy before leaving you to it. I posted a little bit about using them on the first post here (see using) Biological Treatments For Psoriasis

You will also see a bit about Humira (adalimumab)

But don't worry about it they are simple and painless to do yourself.

coping OK - got a lot of new patches - but still not on face so am hiding it well - Medicine is being delivered Monday and a nurse should show up a couple of days later to teach me how to inject myself - fingers crossed this works - THANKYOU ALL for your unwavering support - I will let you know how I get on
