Hi Caroline, Yes, I agree, I asked point blank (to my Rheumatologist), Will I lose my hair, will I feel even more fatigue than I do now, No she said , and have you lost any hair ? No I said ( this would be four weeks into the metho) there you go she said. *laughing*........ Since then I have only seen the Rheumatology Nurse.. Cannot understand why...

I look forward to browsing the off topic section, at the moment just trying to catch up on housework (tramadol and co-codamol seem to give me a window of an hour in the evening - sometimes lol)

mataribot- I am starting on a low dose, Every day - 1 tablet twice a day for a week then 2 tablets twice a day and so on.... hmmm pondering ... my mind has decided to retreat in horror already....

Oh Kellie don't go in there ( off topic) it's very dangerous there's a Fred in there most of the time who claims to be sensible

New treatments are always a worry but we have to keep trying until we find the one that works, you aren't alone with your fears, we have all been there, and at least you will be closely monitored..

Hi Kelli,was reading some of your posts and i also have worries about different drugs.We don't know whats in alot of them and probably shouldn't ask or else we wouldn't even take them.My husband was on coumadin for many years and it had traces of rat poison in it although not much.Scary isn't it.I was on methotrexate and sulfasalide,the Pharmacy gave me Clinerol which was a generic form of sulfasalide i had to go to the ER twice and got steroid shot and pills my hand were tripled in size.I talked to a nurse and she said clinerol was an old med and they quit using it due to swelling of hands and feet.I may not have spelled it right.I was miserable but the steroids helped.It's just so tiring after awhile.I sure hope i get some relief my skin is horrible scalp also no creams,shampoo's have been helping.

Hi Glenda, It is a worry , I know, and unfortunately I am one of those people who do research and find out about the drugs- but sigh, its the pain, at some points I think I would of tried anything..I had a steroid shot over a week ago and its at last taken some of the swelling down, certainly not as fast as the first time..Your Husbands treatment is scary!

I always use t-gel shampoo, mind you I have to use it everyday, and my god its tedious washing my hair everyday..but its the only thing that has kept my scalp free-ish ..

I have to admit since I knew I was changing drugs Its been non stop going through my mind.. just hoping the side effects for me , aren't as bad as the Methotrexate..
