Hi and welcome to the club Moxcis....I smoked long before I got psoriasis, and personally I don't think it made any difference. But I have no evidence to support that  idea but struggled with psoriasis all my adult life . In my day there was no such thing as vaping you either smoked tobacco  or you didn't
What scares me about vaping like you is what harm are you storing for the future with the unknown substances you are filling your lungs with.  I guess the next generation will be the judge of that

What treatment are you on for your psoriasis? I have never noted an association, but that is not to say there isn't one. I am totally flabbergasted by people with leg ulcers who wont quit smoking. Anyway, I hope you can get a treatment plan for your disease under way.

I have been using lots of different lotions/shampoos but haven't seen a gp. Partly because of embarrassment but mainly believing it is caused by vaping.

I am back to smoking and dehydration stopped. I noticed less lumpiness in my scalp etc.

I won't be vaping again.

Smoking has been touted as being about 20 times as harmful to your health as vaping. Smoking is also associated with psoriasis. I think you would be safer doing neither. Having your disease properly diagnosed could also allow you to access more effective therapies.

Its crazy how common vaping is now. I see hordes of kids everyday at the highschool vaping away. It can't be good for anything.

Agreed as an ex smoker I know that the only thing we should be inhaling is air, anything else is unnatural and will probably cause respiratory problems later in life

Don't discount it completely, Jim. It could be a useful way to to deliver vitamins like b12 and trace elements.

Inhalation is a valid and increasingly popular route for administration of many therapeutic drugs and apart from pulmonary drugs like asthma medication or anesthetic, there is a range of other systemic medications that are is being delivered by aqueous mist inhalator. Insulin, interferon or interleukin for example.  While I don't support the recreational use of "vapes" I can see where they could be a useful non-intrusive delivery device for the administration a range of therapeutic substances.

I’m really sad about this, when there was just smoking, it made kids think twice about trying it. Now the government is saying vaping is completely safe because they want smokers to switch. But they seem to have completely forgotten that this same message is going into the ears of 14 year olds who think it’s a safe way to try nicotine. There are some products that say they don’t have any nicotine but I am not sure I’d trust that self labelling completely.

So thanks to the government mostly being concerned about smokers health, we now have loads of kids vaping and using nicotine on a regular basis. The message should be that anything you breathe in that’s not clean air can be a problem for lungs.

Plus we have no idea what the long term health issues are because it hasn’t existed long enough to see. I hope there aren’t any. Apologies will be completely pointless by that time.

I am more concerned about the safety of the devices. A baby died in Victoria recently after ingesting liquid from an e-cigarette.
