I had to stop knitting due to painful hands.
Maybe I Will just have to accept my manky toes.

Why not knit little Toe Jumpers. Smile

Do you use real wool? It's very expensive these days to knit a jumper.

Hi, just been reading this thread as i also have nail psoriasis although its not severe and thought i would share a few tips with you.  Depending on how thick your nails are and flakey, i would suggest firstly filing the nails down gently with a good quality nail file like they use at nail salons and for any ridges at the top on the nails, file these too and buff them with a nail buffer until they are flat like healthy nails... follow up with a thick moisturiser such as suggested earlier by using coconut oil or palmers cocoa butter etc.  You can clip the nails before filing the nails down also and you will find after a few weeks that your nails are more manageable and softer and grown healthier and are less likely to break or dry or grow funny because you will be filing them back into shape and in the right direction as normal nails.  You can also apply any medication to the nails after filing.

If you find that you arent getting good results by doing the above then please do see a specialist dermatologist or nail specialist.
