While I wait for my fumaderm treatment to kick in I'm having issues with the psoriasis on my lower legs. They are red raw and look slightly swollen.

I can handle the redness, but the swelling hasfreaked me out a little. Has anyone else had any swelling with ther psoriasis? It is only mild but I can see it.

I've only experienced swelling on my my toes, fingers and in some places like the shoulder but not on my lower legs which has always been one of the worst places for psoriasis. But the swelling I experience is down to psoriatic arthritis.

Hopefully others will know more, but psoriasis is an inflammatory problem so I'm thinking it could be because the psoriasis is worse it's swelling up under the skin and could be causing fluid retention. *But that's just me thinking.

I know it's my mind racing too fast but could it be a sign of erethadermic (proprobably spelt wrong) psoriasis? I have had it for about a week or so.

It's certainly not covering 90% of my body, although I do have psoriasis most places. The main area of redness is my lower legs and that is where I can see the swelling (my socks leave a dint in my legs now).

I do itch my legs a lot where it is swollen, could itching make the inflamation worse and cause some swelling?

Like I say it not major swelling, just mild, but I do notice it.

If you are scratching then yes you could be making it worse.

I would honestly contact your doctor. If the swelling is not located at joint, could potentially be a lot of things.

Yes my P patches sometimes swell, feel lumpy and get hot and itchy, usually in the evening when the central heating is on. It calms down again overnight. I never really got worried until now lol..

just re read your post - my P gets swollen but I don't get oedema with it. Just the patches, they swell like bites or nettle rash.

Mine would swell if ive been scratching too much!
You have to be careful you don't get infection from scratching.

Yes, that's my problem at the minute, my lower legs itch something terrible! I itch then a lot during the day, I'm trying to stop but sometimes it's hard.
