I hope she's not taking any nonsense from you young man, I'm sure she will able to give you a whack  whack if you step out of line  Whistle

Been for dermatology appointment today and I've come away with another prescription for Cosentyx. She assured me that the funding has now gone through and there shouldn't be any problem getting it this time.

I was due to my next Stelara shot on the 22nd but will now wait till the 1st Oct before starting Cosentyx. She did say I could switch on the 29th, but I decided make a fresh start on the 1st of the month.

So if all goes well (not always bound to happen in France  Whistle ) I should be starting a new thread soon. I will leave this one open in case I can still help answer questions about my journey and I hope my past six years of updates on this and my old Stelara thread Stelara 16 Months On. may have helped.

I'm still a big fan of Stelara as it gave me back my life. I did make a post in this thread giving my 6 year review if it's of interest to anyone, you can find it here: RE: Stelara round two

So thank you Stelara you have been good to me, but it's time to move on as I now need a bit more help with the psoriatic arthritis. Stelara never has been brilliant for psoriatic arthritis but it did help as long as the weather wasn't too damp, but I think all in all I've done well on it for just over 6 years.

I'll make a new thread when I know for certain I have Cosentyx and put a link to it in this thread.

All the best for the new regime Fred , there may be a possibility that I may join you some time next year if the Stelara continues to slip as it appears to be doing.

Thank you Dave. It's good that we now have another choice and Cosentyx is getting good reviews from our members here, so I'm hoping it's going to help more with the psoriatic arthritis especially with the cold damp days waiting around the corner.

Yes Fred it would be great to have some thing to help with the PsA as you said the Stelara is only marginally better for that. I have so much praise for it as it gave me my life back.

Thank you Bill. I've just posted a report about it doing well with psoriatic arthritis Cosentyx users report high levels of satisfaction for psoriatic arthritis so I'm looking forward to it.

That's IF I ever get it. Whistle I thought I would go to the pharmacie today so they have plenty of time to order it in. And surprise surprise she said the funding hasn't been signed off yet. Anyway after a long chat and her phoning Novartis she now needs to talk with my dermatologist to try and sort it out.

She is going to phone me if/when it's available. I've told her I wanted to start on the 1st so they have a while to sort it out, but this is France and not much happens quickly here.

You aren't giving me much incentive to leave the dark side, Fred.
