Had my cataracts done recently and got some psoriasis on one eyebrow, I think the sticky tape to keep the eye shield in place has made it flare though it didn't in the first one.

Obviously I can't use anything near the eye at the moment so I'm trying the good old substitute of coconut oil, I'll see how it goes.

That’s annoying, hopefully it’ll calm down with the coconut. Do you have any allergies to plasters/ tape? I get a bit itchy under some, but I don’t think it’s led to psoriasis.

For us, here on Psoriasisclub, the use of coconutoil to soften the psoriasis and as a measure against itch is more or less trivial. But in other environments where I sometimes pass by… Facebook, Twitter, Insta.. it is very often unknown… e.g. a lot of people are trying Aloe Vera, might help.. I don’t know.

No not allergic to anything TL .......................... well apart from people, but the coconut oil seems to be helping.

People still use those places.  Big Grin As for Aloe Vera products put it in a search on Psoriasis Club and find the truth Caroline

Well…. “The Truth” does not exist, it is all in what you believe.

I know also that “some” pharma is pushing Aloe Vera as a cure for everything which is obviously not true.
I do get that is softens a bit.. but for the rest… I see it more as a placebo.

I think Aloe Vera is soothing to the skin, which is why I find it helps calm down minor burns. I never thought of it for psoriasis, mostly because for me one of the "side effects" of Aloe Vera is that it can cause me to itch a bit. Not in an allergic sort of way and I'm not sure why really. I looked it up and it seems the aloe vera plant can cause some people irritation and itching and I guess I'm one of them. It's mild, but I'm still not adding to my itchy psoriasis!!

Glad the coconut oil is helping. Hopefully it clears up soon.
