I just saw an ad for Sotyktu (deucravacitinib)

The FDA approved Sotyktu for use in the US at the end of 2022.  Another oral medication.  Their website says unsure if it can harm unborn baby and unsure if it can cause harm while breastfeeding.  Also could cause liver problems and not for use with people who have rheumatoid arthritis.

First ad I've seen for it and I tend to look it up if it's new to me.  It's always difficult to read the side effects and warnings.  Confused

(I saw where there was a post showing it was approved in the US but it had been removed but the one showing approval in England was still up. Not sure I'd be a fan of trying it but thought I'd put it out there anyway.)

Thanks for the link! For some reason when I did a search (I edited my post to show what came up) I had one thread showing approval in England and one that looked like approval in the US but when I clicked on that thread it said it had been deleted!

Feel free to delete this one Fred, I didn't see the other one and no need for two separate ones!

No need to delete it Kat, I've changed the heading so as not to confuse. If you prefer a different heading let me know, but It's a forum and it's a thread.  Wink

I see Caroline pointed you to the thread about it but here are the others you may have been looking for.

FDA Approves Sotyktu for psoriasis

NICE Approves Sotyktu for psoriasis in England

I probably saw the threads before (memory isn't what it used to be Tongue )

Saw the ad and didn't remember seeing it here, did a search and didn't do a very good job on it.

The header is fine, sounds a bit like the Acitretin warnings. Even though I can't have kids any more I still don't like the idea of putting something that CAN harm a baby in my system as what's it going to do to me in the long term? And with the work I've been putting in to get my liver healthy, I'm always leery of something that could affect that.

But, gotta say the people in the ad looked wonderful. Young, healthy and clear skin! Tongue Wink Rolleyes

Oh yes those ads, don't they always look so healthy. 85

I'm with you, if it can do that then I'm out of here. It's just another poison.
