Spoke to my dermatologist on the phone this morning, and she said I wont be going on the trial for the Anti Jak as I don't fit the protocol. It must be an omen, I was thinking of opting out of the trial anyway.
So we had a long discussion and I'm going up to see her on Wednesday for some blood tests and maybe go back on to Stelara. she is still a bit concerned about my psoriatic arthritis and would like me to try MTX again. The Stelara had stopped being so effective but she did mention we could look at different time intervals between shots. In some ways I'm pleased as at the moment I'm having a bit of a flare up and it's getting to me a bit, and I do know that Stelara was the best thing I ever had for the psoriasis. Will report back after my appointment on Wednesday. Now to start getting myself psyched up for a visit to the City

OK back from the big city and survived Oh how nice to be back in the country. Anyway I can't go onto the trial for the Anti Jak because of previously using Remicade, Enbrel, Humira, and Stelara. I think they only want people who have only tried creams UV etc.
So I have to phone in the morning to check my blood tests are ok and if they are, my dermatologist has given me a prescription for Stelara every 8 weeks, and then report back to her at week 14. My psoriasis score is 27 at the moment, and my legs are starting to drive me nuts. Psoriatic Arthritis is not to bad so I didn't go for the MTX I doubt I would have done anyway Now I no longer need more psoriasis there's not much point in me continuing this thread. Fred. EDIT: I have started a new thread if you still want to follow my progress with Stelara here. Stelara round two |
