New to Talz

Hi All,

I've suffered from psoriasis for over 20 years and just started Talz on October 1st. Since I started, I've noticed that my tonsils are swollen, and I snore. I don't typically snore. My daughter just got over a cold with a cough, so I wasn't sure if I was coming down with her cold or if the swollen tonsils and snoring were because of the medication. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

I've not used Taltz but I wouldn't have thought it was the Taltz. If you put Taltz in the Search whilst logged-in you will see a lot of threads, but I had a quick look and didn't spot anything.

Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't get better by next week it may be worth contacting your doctor.

I've used Taltz but did not have any noticeable side effects. However I do have sleep apnea and sleep with a cpap so I wouldn't have the snoring side effect most likely. I didn't notice any discomfort with throat or tonsils either.

Should it continue then I'd definitely let your doctor know. I didn't see where snoring was a side effect however I guess sore throat, coughing, hoarseness, etc are possible side effects. Trouble sleeping was also listed which was the only connection I could find that could be related to snoring.

Do you have any acid reflux problems? Unfortunately, Taltz does mess with gastro track, more specifically with IBDs.

It also may be worth noting biologics in general can increase the risk of infections. maybe worth getting it looked at.

Hi HClifford and welcome to the club, I haven't been on Taltz but do read most posts here and I don't recall reading of the problems you have, I would think it's just coincidence, but certainly if it continues for much longer get it checked by your doctor
Is the Taltz helping the psoriasis ?
