Just a FYI- my psoriasis exploded while infected.  My skin erupted with scales in places I've never had any issues.  Skin has calmed down and back to "normal".

Another side effect, my arthritis has improved, now taking 2/3 my normal pain meds.

COVID is a strange disease, and very transmissible.

Mike

Glad to hear you're doing much better! Yes, covid seems to be very strange in that it affects people so differently. Hope you continue to improve.

Indeed a very strange disease Mike.
As Covid leads to a cytokinestorm, one could conclude that that would have its negative effect on psoriasis, but the strange effect on your Psoriatic Arthritis is in that same way of thinking not explainable.
Or.... one might think that because of the reactions of your body to the Covid, now your immune system has slowed down the (over)production of e.g. IL-17 which is a known sign of Psoriatic Arthritis.
Or.... well maybe other reasons. Everything is connected....

Mike

Thank you for posting Mike, I think you are our first member to post that had Covid. Good to hear you are feeling better and the psoriasis has calmed down, and great to hear the psoriatic arthritis has improved.

Don't hesitate to start a thread in Psoriasis And Psoriatic Arthritis Topics about it if you wish.

Welcome to Psoriasis Club by the way  Wave

Fred.

This is interesting, I know they’ve been looking at using these drugs for treating covid but I don’t think they’ve had particularly great results so far - but if it’s protective then I’m pleased!

Nice to meet you Mike Wave

Glad to hear you got over covid and that your arthritis is improving!
