Our new homepage is now live: https://psoriasisclub.com

The idea behind it is two fold.

#1 We needed to make a responsive page as Google were dropping us from their search results. Unfortunately there isn't a good way of making the forum phone friendly, and although we've never had the need for a homepage before it's the only thing we can do to try and please Google.

No doubt they will move the goalposts again like they usually do as we will never pay to rank higher in searches, but we keep fighting back.

#2 The new homepage gives the basics about psoriasis and what we do, our hope is that it will encourage our readers to come and have a look at our forum. Once they are reading through the 150,000+ posts they will see that we are just people with psoriasis and it may encourage them to come and join us.

I hope you like the new homepage, it's probably not of mush use to most of you as the point of Psoriasis Club is a forum. But we're not known for giving up when a new challenge pops up. Thank you to those members that helped shape and test the new homepage I appreciate it.

The next step is for me to keep telling Google we are conforming (allbeit not possible with the forum) and they are not only punishing us, but also genuine people with psoriasis looking for honest reliable news, information and support.

On the part of our members you can also help by promoting https://psoriasisclub.com on your social media outlets. *Please do not go spamming though  NoNo

I have put it on Twitter and Pinterest and noticed already some of you have reposted it (thank you) but I don't use social media much so it's over to you.

To our lurkers of the forum if you feel we have helped you please feel free to give us mention somewhere, or better still come on in and join us.

*The forum is still at it's address https://psoriasisclub.org where it has been since we started so you won't have to change your bookmarks or log-in details.

Hope you like it and feedback is welcome.

Fred.

We can but try Jim.

I've been trying for almost 10 years and I know they will change things again as I will never pay.

It will work for a while, but as this is a public board I will moderate myself and say:

Google you may own 90% of the worlds search results, but you don't own Psoriasis Club and never will. Yes I will work to correct things just to try and please you but the day you stop bringing us visitors because I won't pay you and my efforts fail, is the day I say stuff you Google I no longer need you. I will instead put my efforts on educating people that Google doesn't want places like Psoriasis Club, they just want money and should in fact be ashamed that they are not helping the small people that use them.

There are other search engines and I recommend everyone to find one that doesn't keep pushing Psoriasis Club down even though we work hard to please them.

Here are a few that bring us visitors and don't keep asking us for money to rank higher. They rank us on our good reliable content, just like you always said we should give.

Bing

DuckDuckGo

Qwant

Yahoo

I advise all our members and readers to find another search engine. Google have and will continue to try and wipe out places like Psoriasis Club.

Mmmmmmm I feel a hate campaign coming on, but I'll leave it there. Use Google and you will see small Independent websites like Psoriasis Club become extinct, it's your choice.

I will keep googling Psoriasis forums and when I did that earlier when I was logged out psoriasis club came on the first page

I'm no great lover of the way that they treat psoriasis club but as we want to attract sufferers here we must keep using google to get here

Unfortunately Google has 90% and there is no denying that they do bring us the most traffic, I just find it unfortunate that the users don't know that Google controls them.

I have advised and still do as you know to go and find us on google, but I don't do it myself any more as I'm fed up with Google and it's dirty tactics. I use them if I am stuck but my searches don't help as I block them, and other search engines are getting better.

Yep find Psoriasis Club on Google and follow the link and you will be helping us get a better rank with their search engine results for a while, but I'm about done with trying to please them and this new home page is probably my last effort and they can get stuffed.
