Hi Kate I think there will be mixed messages coming from dermatologists and to be honest they and we have no idea what effect the bios will have on this virus
The easy option for them is to say stop and that might be the right advice but I somehow doubt it will make any difference to us getting the virus or the severity of it

Thank you for your reply, jiml. I would consider it the safe option but of course it carries the risk of a nasty flare up.. I'm armed with a supply of Dermovate, various gloves etc to see me through. I'm calculating that it will take a year at least for my hands to become unbearably sore.. by which time hopefully I will be safely back on  Cosentyx.

So happy to report that after 2 months Cosentyx free I'm now psoriasis free! How did this happen? I'm baffled, delighted & cautiously optimistic. Feel like celebrating but everywhere' shut.

Good to hear you are free. As for how it happened, that is the question everyone asks. You are probably in remission, as for why your guess is good as anyone's.

It can happen and sometimes for a long while, and that is why psoriasis is so difficult to treat. I have been lucky enough to go into remission with psoriatic arthritis once, but it did come back again. Some go into remission and hardly ever get a problem, all I can say is "Enjoy it"

I'll celebrate with you  15

Certainly worth celebrating. Thumb

It happens that “strong” treatment can bring the disease in remission. At least I heard that from Rheumatic Arthritis where they use a strong medication in the beginning to bring a good blow to the disease and bring the activity down.

Now Psoriasis is different, but there is no reason why this method should not work there also.

Enjoy your remission and let’s hope it stays that way for a long, loooong time. Wave
