Hi Karen, nice to welcome another Aussie to the club all be it a banana bender. 
There is plenty of great info and support here and heaps and heaps of really knowledgeable people, many of whom have already commented so there is not much I can add except to agree with what has been said diet and is important but also, get your GP to give you a new referral to a Dermatologist and see what they have to say, Psoriasis treatments have changed an awful lot over the past few years.
