Has anyone tried a handheld NB UVB unit?

I just bought a Duralume 2X handheld unit for my scalp ps.

The seller bought it and used it twice, then found out she had scaring and it was not useful to her.

I never did any research, but it seems like the Dermalume 2X is an older unit. I paid $280 shipping in.

Did I screw up? Should I have bought a different unit? Its design seems a little clunky...

Are there new units that are better?

Sorry spot on I can't help as I don't know the unit you have purchased ...all I will say is be very careful not to overexpose with it ...I hope you have got the instructions with it that tell of exposure times and distance you need to be from the lamp ...or you could end up with nasty burns
It's not something I would use myself but I suppose it depends on how desperate you are to get clear, my experience of hospital administered uv was very good and it cleared my skin ....but it was a short term fix and the psoriasis returned fairly soon when the course of treatment ended

My advice would be to see a dermatologist who could give you a systemic drug that might give you a longer period of clearance
Just my opinion

Thanks Jim. I have a large 6 bulb unit now. I will be careful with the hand held  unit. I am trying to stay away from the drugs as long as I can.

Be very careful with how much you use it as burns are only one thing over exposure can cause.
