Hi guys I'm new to this I was on methotrexate injections and they dident help my psoriatic arthritis at all but all the other medications made me ill I was on Sulfasalazine and ended up loosing 2 stone in a week I also had very bad allergic reactions to the rest so they now trying me on cosentyx let's hope this works

Sorry to hear you have had problems, it can take a while to find what works. But at least they are putting you on one of the newer treatments.

I have been doing very well with psoriatic arthritis so hopefully you will soon get some relief.

Don't hesitate to start a thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis to keep a track of your progress if you wish.

Have a good look around, you will find a friendly bunch of people so just dive on in.

Hi Angela and   to the club you will find us a very friendly group we all have psoriasis in common . And this site gives us a platform to share our experiences and support each other through the good periods and the bad periods with the disease, there is so much information here, about the disease and its treatment. If you need any help navigating around the site or a question just shout out and someone will reply

It sounds as if you have had some bad experiences with the drugs you have been on, methotrexate was not good for me. Hopefully Cosentyx will work well for you. The feedback on here suggests that it works well
I will be interested to hear how it works for you

I must say, i have never heard of Sulfasalazine but i might ask my GP if i can have it.......especially if i could lose 2 stone in a week !

welcome to the club! I've also just joined about a week ago and it's like a warm bath here, to find such support with fellow sufferers. You can have a rant, a grumble, a laugh, a question and there's lots of info on different treatments. And some silly threads which are hilarious. Welcome =]
