Hi all,
I've suffered with Psoriasis since my early teens Confused . I'm 55 this year.
I've been using a 'heavy' but pleasant ointment since centre November 2016 called Sorion. The results have been impressive, to say the least. Plaque coverage has reduced from an itchy 10% of my skin coverage, down to a non - itchy 2%, with no side effects.
I'm the happiest I've ever been, and that annoying winter itchiness has gone, thankfully.
Sorion is readily available, and quite cheap if bought direct from its Indian manufacturer. Google it.
I'll be happy Rolleyes to answer any questions.

It has been mentioned on here before, and I'll give my usual answer.

Sorion is just an expensive moisturiser and to be honest I doubt you will see long lasting results.

Ingredients: Vaseline, coconut oil, microcrystalline wax, paraffin wax, Indian Lilac, turmeric, Dyer's Madder, Sweet Indrajao, perfume, butylated hydroxyanisole, titandioxyd.

I notice in your profile you also have psoriatic arthritis, so I would suggest getting treated by a dermatologist. You can get much better treatment on the NHS than trying self treatment from India.

Also I would very cautious on what you buy and from where, have a look at this thread: Warning: Etin Skin Solution contains a potent steroid Do Not Use.

Keep your money in your pocket and get professional help.

Fred, I don't think you understood my initial post.

A few important points...

I am fully aware of the ingredients that make up Sorion, as they are printed on the box which, by the way, differ from what you assume/think they are.
The NHS  'treatment' that you recommend generally means taking a couple of hours off work to be prescribed a useless cream by an equally useless locum GP with yes, you've guessed it, useless results and a £24 prescription bill (THAT'S expensive).

Still with me? Good...The important bit...

Sorion works for ME. That is the point of my OP, just in case others felt compelled to try it.

If it is 'self help from India', or anywhere else on this planet, then I'll take it, with pleasure.
If I were you, I'd think, in future, before you post your 'usual answer', because it will probably only be relevant to YOU.

Thumbsdown what a shame, you have taken that attitude when all that has been offered is good advice ...it's great sorion works for you, it won't work for everyone and a warning not to buy from India is good advice as there's no control on what's in the creams..
Fred as the owner of this site would be wrong not to point out the dangers of what you recommend

It's also a shame that you have had such a bad view of our national health service, which in my opinion works wonders, despite the constraints they are under

I wish you luck and hope it keeps working for you

I have decided to ban this member.

I have always said I will protect our members from Advertising, Spammers, Scammers and Trolls.

I don't like to flex my muscles, but all members have to remember they are a guest in my house. I don't make many rules and want to offer a peaceful place for people with psoriasis, but if you cross me then I'm happy to wave goodbye to you.

Your attitude is not something I want to see on Psoriasis Club. I have logged off for a few hours to give it some thought and I looked into your input on Psoriasis Club via your past posts and I feel you are not the sort of member we want here. I want to make it clear I would have banned you for talking in this way to any of our members and not just because you have spoken this way to me, had you have had a better input then I would have reconsidered. But your post has come across as Trolling. Something I will not tolerate on Psoriasis Club.

We all have opinions and that is what makes a healthy forum, but we have to respect each other and communicate in an appropriate way. I will not see Psoriasis Club used in this way, it's not what it is here for and maybe you should have had a little more respect.

We have many members that have found a new board on Psoriasis Club and there they can talk to me how the hell they like, but they have to get there first. I am proud of the way Psoriasis Club is run and myself and the Forum Helpers work very hard to keep it friendly. Our active members are also a very friendly bunch of people so I would request that anyone thinking of joining us here to remember that you are welcome here, but please remember you need to show you have respect for others.

I have and will ban any member I feel is not in keeping with what Psoriasis Club is about. Long standing members with an input get more chance, but your input has not proved to me that you will be a valuable member.

You are welcome to use the "Contact Us" form on the bottom menu if you wish to discuss the matter, but I'm not running Psoriasis Club for Trolls.

I do wish you well with your treatment for psoriasis, but sadly I feel Psoriasis Club is not the place for you.

Of course he was rude to you fred. Your post killed any potential sale he could have scammed someone out of.

Agreed Mataribot it's a shame when people join a friendly forum like this and are unjustifiably rude, whatever their reasons, we have few rules here as we all know, and we do have disagreements, but our members are always respectful and often can agree to disagree without being disrespectful

I think you are prudent with that line, Fred. The rubbish presentations almost seem scripted and are generally devoid of all the ups, downs and surprises that form the experience of most sufferers. The standard script is of someone formulating a treatment based solely on Internet research, usually after a prolonged failure of the medical profession to effect any benefit. He will invariably and inexplicably choose a treatment with close to a zero % success rate, then execute it flawlessly and completely to plan. This type of tale scores 100% on my bullometer, even with pictures, although I am more convinced by several pictorial updates over a prolonged period as this is much harder to fake.

Cheers,

Bill

I've been doing a little more digging on Sorion and he was right the ingredients I listed are not correct.

I have checked the ingredients from 4 different sources, and it seems that it depends on where you buy as to what ingredients are in the product. Although there is similarity, it's either the way it's worded or the ingredients are not always the same. Or it could be that even though it's a rubbish product, some of them could even be fakes.

#1 Petrolatum, Cocos nucifera oil, Cera Microcristallina, Paraffin, Azadirachta indica bark and leave extracts,
Curcuma longa rhizome extract, Rubia cordifolia root and stem extracts, Wrightia tinctoria leaf oil, Parfum,
BHA, Titanium dioxide

#2 Holestemma ada-kodein (Jivanti), Rubia cordifolia (Manjistha), Curcuma longa (Haridra), Wrightia tinctoria (Streekutaja), Cocos nucifera (Kerataila), Hydnocarpus wightiana (Tuvaraka taila).

#3 Petroleum Jelly (Petrolatum), Coconut (Cocos nucifera) Fruit Oil, Microcrystalline Wax, Paraffin Wax, Neem (Azadirachta indica) Leaf and Bark Extracts, Indian Madder (Rubia cordifolia) Root and Stem Extracts, Turmeric (Curcuma longa) Rhizome Extracts, Sweet Indrajao (Wrightia tinctoria) Bark Extracts, Perfume, Butylated Hydroxyanisole, Titanium Dioxide.

#4 Vaseline, cococnut oil, microcrystalline wax, paraffin wax, Indian Lilac, turmeric, Dyer's Madder, Sweet Indrajao, perfume, butylated hydroxyanisole, titandioxyd.

Anyway he's gone, and we are a happy ship again.
