Hello from FL. I'm a 55 yo female and still work part time as a RN case manager. I've had Psoriatic Arthritis, Psoriatic nails and skin Psoriasis for 7 years. I'm currently taking MTX, Otezla, prednisone and getting ready to start Cosentyx. I've been on many different Biologics over the years. My hands, feet, sternum and SI joints are mainly affected and have just 1% skin involvement. I'm here to learn more about PsA and how to slow progression.

Hi Julittle

to the club, I'm afraid I can't help with biologicals as I've never been on them, we have a very friendly bunch of members here though and several are now on Cosentyx and from what I've read it is working well with the psoriatic arthritis
Here's a couple of threads to read and I'm sure others will be along to tell of their experiences

[thread=4505]
And if you put Cosentyx in the search facility here
Search
I look forward to reading your experience and hope Cosentyx is the drug for you

Hello Julittle

to Psoriasis Club.
I've had psoriatic for over 30 years now and this past few years it has been very very bad, that was till I went on the Bio's. And although I have only been on Cosentyx for three months I have to say it is amazing and I haven't felt this good for a long time.
Jim has pointed you to my thread if you want to read it [thread=4338]
I find it interesting you mention the Sternum as I had started for the first time experiencing this about 1 year ago, and I'm pleased to say it has gone since being on Cosentyx.
Good luck and don't hesitate to start a thread about your journey on Cosentyx in [forum=10] I find it great to have a record to look back on and your input could help others.
Regards.
Fred.

Hi Julittle,
Welcome to psoriasisclub
Cosentyx has a very good press for PsA, so good luck with it.
Remember to stop with MTX before starting Cosentyx.

Hi Julittle welcome to the club , I take Stelara at the moment and have had allsorts of lotions and potions over time but I have P and PsA and I am hoping that I can get on Cosentyx soon as my PsA is getting worse . I have nothing but praise for Stelara but it's not very good for PsA or at least not for me. A lot of people don't like MTX but I was on it a long time before the side effects caught up with me and it did work for the PsA.
If you get on to Cosentyx I will be very interested in knowing how you are getting on with it.
All the best and again welcome to the club.
