Hello from FL. I'm a 55 yo female and still work part time as a RN case manager.  I've had Psoriatic Arthritis, Psoriatic nails and skin Psoriasis for 7 years. I'm currently taking MTX, Otezla, prednisone and getting ready to start Cosentyx. I've been on many different Biologics over the years. My hands, feet, sternum and SI joints are mainly affected and have just 1% skin involvement. I'm here to learn more about PsA and how to slow progression.  Heart Julittle

Hi Julittle  Welcome to the club, I'm afraid I can't help with biologicals as I've never been on them, we have a very friendly bunch of members here though and several are now on  Cosentyx and from what I've read it is working well with the psoriatic arthritis
Here's a couple of threads to read and I'm sure others will be along to tell of their experiences

Cosentyx for psoriatic arthritis Fred's journey

Cosentyx shows sustained improvements in psoriatic arthritis over 3 years

And if you put Cosentyx in the search facility hereSearch

I look forward to reading your experience and hope Cosentyx is the drug for you  Thumb

Hello Julittle  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

I've had psoriatic for over 30 years now and this past few years it has been very very bad, that was till I went on the Bio's. And although I have only been on Cosentyx for three months I have to say it is amazing and I haven't felt this good for a long time.

Jim has pointed you to my thread if you want to read it Cosentyx for psoriatic arthritis Fred's journey

I find it interesting you mention the Sternum as I had started for the first time experiencing this about 1 year ago, and I'm pleased to say it has gone since being on Cosentyx.

Good luck and don't hesitate to start a thread about your journey on Cosentyx in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis I find it great to have a record to look back on and your input could help others.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi Julittle,

Welcome to psoriasisclub Wave

Cosentyx has a very good press for PsA, so good luck with it.

Remember to stop with MTX before starting Cosentyx. Smile

Hi Julittle welcome to the club , I take Stelara at the moment and have had allsorts of lotions and potions over time but I have P and PsA and I am hoping that I can get on Cosentyx soon as my PsA is getting worse . I have nothing but praise for Stelara but it's not very good for PsA or at least not for me. A lot of people don't like MTX but I was on it a long time before the side effects caught up with me and it did work for the PsA.
If you get on to Cosentyx I will be very interested in knowing how you are getting on with it.
All the best and again welcome to the club.

Hi Julittle and a warm welcome to the club Wave . Im still on orals and dont have PsA and I am hoping I can dodge that bullet, but a few achey joints make the Munchausen's kick in Confused  .
I'm sure you will enjoy your time on here. You will always get an honest reply from the friendly inmates. Also don't forget the off topic section for some frivolent amusement.
