I have been taken vitamin D about 4000 iud a day and magnesium 1 a day I also use a Philips hand held Uvb device which I use once a day and I went cold turkey and came off steiod cream and use coconut oil instead o and also a 20 billion probiotics one a day it has made a big difference

Hello Billy3bartletts Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Good to hear it's working for you, but it's not for me. The only thing I use from that list is Coconut Oil, but for me psoriatic arthritis needs something better and the Bio's are better suited in my case.

But as long as it's working, you enjoy it.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi Billy glad you have found your way here  Welcome to the club. I hope you enjoy it here on the forum where you are among fellow sufferers, I'm glad you are able to control yours with vitamin D supplements and UV  treatment .

There is a lot of interest in alternative treatments that have been proved to work , I will be interested in reading of how the treatment keeps working for you ..
How long have you had it under control ?

Feel free to join in other threads as we are all very friendly and welcome fresh input to threads

We have an active off topic  section where members meet and chat.....again feel free to join us there

Welcome! I found that the coconut oil works great as a moisturizer. I was taking 5,000 iu Vit D per day before my psoriasis and continue that still but didn't notice it helping any for me. The steroid creams did help sooth a bit but didn't help me either so like you, I stopped those.

I'm glad you've found what works for you, that's the important thing. For me it was light therapy and Acitretin (I no longer use either) but I still struggle with a few spots.

Thanks for sharing!
