It's a couple of months since I decided to stop any treatment (yes even natural ones) and I'm patchier than ever, but I've been wandering about with vest tops on and honestly forgetting what I look like- I may have had funny looks but I haven't noticed them.

It itches a bit but not that much especially if I do moisturise (which I don't bother with that much) but I feel free - and no longer being coerced into taking nasty drugs just in an attempt to look nice for others.

If my psoriasis goes nuts again, then I will look at taking something, I have had uncontrollable itching in the past so I don't take it lightly, but for now it's just cosmetic and I'm just leaving it alone.

So, has anyone else decided to just give up on treatment and bare all? I think it would be great if we actually see more psoriasis in daily life, and maybe people will just get used to it instead of wondering if we have plague or something!

Clap Clap well done TL I think that's great that you have the confidence to try this out. I hope it remains comfortable for you and you don't get a nasty flare
Have you found the sun has helped on the exposed skin without creams?

Good luck with it, I agree it would be nice if we didn't feel so self conscious about the disease, and didn't try to hide it...but I couldn't do that ....but well done to you Bigarm

I did go without any treatment for a while, that was until I got locked up with psoriatic arthritis.

As for showing others, it's not something I was happy doing when I was younger but I do admire those that do. Today however things are different now I'm older. I don't care less any more and will happily show anyone that asks, though I don't have much to show at the moment.

I've also found since running Psoriasis Club I have been open to others in my daily life about psoriasis and I'm happy to talk about it more.

TL would you rather this be moved to Psoriasis And Psoriatic Arthritis Topics ? I can see why you posted it here, but I'm thinking it may get noticed better by others if not in Natural. (I nearly missed it as I don't bother much with this section)

But it's your choice, it can stay here of you rather.

By all means move it Fred! I do sometimes find it hard to decide what kind of topic it is.

Jim - no, I don't think the sun has any effect on me, sadly..

Good on you Turnedlight Thumb we shouldn't be afraid to show our skin! You'd be surprised at how little people pay attention to it, unless it's right in there face.

For the itching, maybe take an antihistimine if it gets too much? That's what I do.
