Hi Bob from down under  Wave
Welcome to psoriasisclub.
Very nice that you have found us. We are a nice group of people spread around all over the world and we have gathered quite some information on all kinds of treatments.
Indeed Acetretin is being used by several of our members with quite some success.

There are a few other members who are located in Australia, you will meet them while strolling around on the forum.
The forum contains the serious part about all kinds of treatments and a part we call Off Topic, which is totally off topic. So only go there if you want to talk about anything your mind bothers. Do remember however that in that section there is only one sensible one, me  Tongue  of course, you should ignore others that say they are the sensible one, they make no sense.

Have fun and we are looking forward to hearing about your experiences with Acetretin, you might even make your own thread about it.

Wave cheers,
Caroline

Hi down under Bob and welcome to the site, this site has more information than anywhere I have seen so have a real good look around. The inmates are barmy but nice and apart from some of the ladies don't bite. Any questions asked will be answered truthfully by people who have the experience of the dam problem not so called professionals who work from theory . Best of luck with your treatment and I look forward to seeing you on the forum.

Welcome Bob.

I am glad that you are trying systemic treatment. The worst thing you can do with this disease is let it go, and I stand guilty as charged. There are a range of treatments available so keep trying new stuff if a treatment fails. I can recommend Fred's coconut oil as a simple moisturiser. I hope you get good results soon.

Cheers,

Bill

Hello Bob  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Yes you spelt Methotrexate right. Though I call it Poison sick

Good luck with Acitretin, we have a few members doing ok on it. Don't hesitate to start a new thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis if you wish, it's a good way of keeping track and your input could help others.

I can sometimes be found in the Psoriasis Club Bar a bit wobbly.  15 If you do pop in there or any other places in [Group Specific] you will find I'm the only sensible one, and you should ignore what Caroline said.

Regards.

Fred.

Welcome to the Acitretin Gang Wobbly  Wave There are a few of us now in the early days of taking this drug. Apart from dry lips and peeling feet at the moment I can't really fault it - although it has taken a long time to show an improvement. Hopefully the side effects won't be too detrimental for you and things improve for you as well. Any questions please ask you will get an honest answer. Join us Off Topic as well for some light hearted banter  Thumb

Welcome Wobbly

I've been on Acitretin 25mg /day for 1 month, now on 35mg/day -  seeing improvements, it is a slow acting drug so don't expect  a quick fix.
I am writing a Journal of my progress - Tink's Journey - to hopefully help others
Good luck with the treatment - look forward to hearing of your progress

Tink x
