Seems like the guy you saw wasn't helpful and with your psoriasis being bad they should quickly move you on to new therapies
Unfortunately they seem to have a protocol to follow whereby they always start you off with creams....it might just be successful ....if not don't leave it long but explain to them it's not working they should put you on the next level if treatment
Good luck and do keep us updated

Thank you much, Just applied the cream, and I'm hesitant to take the pill. I'm still in pain, but hoping for the best.

What is the name of the pill they have given you and how many have they said to take?

It may not have to end your career as a driver unless like me you ended up with psoriatic arthritis too.

Take my advice; I don't use it anyway.

Doctors do love their creams and ointments, but honestly I believe they try to first see if it helps as it's the least expensive way to go and not only that, insurance can require they first prescribe less costly treatments before moving on.

As for taking the pills prescribed, there are oral meds that help with psoriasis. I was on Acetritin for awhile and it did help me clear up quite a bit but I can't say I was happy to take it. Sometimes you just have to consider if the side effects or possible long term effects are worth getting rid of the misery known as psoriasis.

If you don't notice any improvements, consider making another appointment to see if you can be prescribed something else. Sadly it seems that a lot treatments take awhile to work and there isn't much relief until they take effect.
