Hi Jay and a warm Welcome to the forum , yes it sounds as if you have guttate psoriasis, it's not a pleasant form of the disease but it is treatable, are you managing to keep it under control with ointments ?

I'm glad you have found us you will get lots of good advice here, just ask as many questions as you like, we are all fellow sufferers here, and happy to help each other

You will find the site packed with information on the various treatments available, and members experiences what they have used that works and what doesn't.

We are a friendly club where members meet and talk about the disease, we are unique in that the site is fully independent thanks to the generosity of Fred the founder of the club..

On here you will never be asked to donate, you will never see an advert or any spam...so you can feel comfortable in the company of genuine fellow sufferers

We also have an active off topic section which as a member you will be welcome to join in with the fun there, it's very light hearted and all are welcome to join in, there's a chatting thread if you just want to say hi, or talk about anything

What I'm trying to say enjoy it here
Jim

Hello Jay,

Welcome to the forum.
Have a look around on the various subjects.
If you have questions, there is always someone willing to give an advice or an opinion.
You are a Londoner? I have visited it a few times. Real nice places you have over there.

Enjoy,
Caroline

Hello Jay  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

You can find out more about the different types here: Types Of Psoriasis Explained

I notice in your profile you are using Dovobet. If you have had psoriasis for 20 years you really should have moved on from that, as it's not good for long term use.

Are you seeing a dermatologist? If not I would suggest getting your GP to refer you to one as they are much better suited at treating you. If you are seeing a dermatologist and they are still issuing you with Dovobet, then I would see another dermatologist.

Regards.

Fred.
