Hi , I was diagnosed October 2015. I am waiting to see a specialist Dermatologist In May.
I am currently using Dobovet Gel and Dermovate cream and Ointment. Would welcome any tips or advice. I have not had definitive diagnosis but due to my symptoms suspect I have Pustular  as only on my palms, soles and scalp. It itches like crazy and is painful.

Hi dyorke and  Welcome to the forum I hope you will get some good advice here, unfortunately I haven't had pustular psoriasis so not sure what the dermatologist may offer you, as you have the disease on hands feet and scalp, it may be uv light treatment ...but I'm not sure

I hope you enjoy your time here as the site us packed with information on the disease and members experiences,

Have a look around the health boards and see the various treatments available and feel free to join in any of the threads
We also have an active off topic section where we go for relaxation where you can meet other members and join in the fun

Good luck with your search for relief from the itch ....you could try good quality coconut oil, many here use it
Jim

Edit
Cant believe I put unfortunately I haven't had pustular psoriasis

Hello dyorke  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

I've not had pustular myself. I know we do have other members that do have it, so it may be worth you starting a new thread in Psoriasis And Psoriatic Arthritis Topics and asking as it may get noticed better by other members with pustular.

This thread explains the different types of psoriasis and be of help: Types Of Psoriasis Explained but I would suggest holding off till you have seen the dermatologist in May. I'm not saying don't look into what type it is and it is always a good idea to have look through the different types, but you have to be careful not to get carried away with self diagnoses.

By your description it does sound like it to me, but only a dermatologist can confirm and advise the best treatment. They will work with you to find what works for your case.

Good luck, and please do keep us updated.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi there Dyorke

Welcome!

I'm a plaque psoriasis sufferer myself although I've had had some lumps and bumps under the skin in the past which were once designated as pustular, by my GP but not by the dermatologist that I was referred to.

I found this forum just over a month ago and have discovered it to be a brilliant resource.  I've learned much more here about Psoriasis than I have from any other source and that includes the medical profession.

Dovobet - I have been prescribed that it the past and it did give me relief from itchiness but more importantly it really helped to flatten my skin and reduce the inflammation. But it has always been a temporary solution for me. P. always comes back if I stop using it.

I hope you hook up with someone on this site who has experience of your kind of P. and that you find the info you need to help you and your Dermatologist (when you get to see one of course!)  decide upon your best treatment path.

Jim mentioned raw coconut oil. I endorse that 100%. Rub it on the skin and as it reaches your body temperature is melts in and soothes and softens. (It's almost a solid at room temperature.) Brilliant stuff.  Used alongside other prescribed lotions and potions as a general moisturiser it works wonders.
Well, it does for me anyway. I got mine on Amazon.

I'm now being treated with a drug - pill form, taken internally, called Fumaderm.  You need to be suffering from moderate to severe P. before they prescribe that stuff - and I'm making a journal of my "journey" on this treatment in this forum.  I was inspired to do it by other members who were already doing the same thing.

I hope you manage to get a definite diagnosis soon and look forward to hearing how you get on.

Cheers

Kit
