You need to have your AC1 checked, not just your resting BS. Drinking more water and exercise will help with BS, but may also lead to a fungal infection, since there maybe a higher amount of sugar being dumped.

Hi Bazza I was wondering if you had found the culprit yet for your high alcohol readings? even without drinking or taking Fumaderm tablets

Hi guys
Thanks for you comments ,support and suggestions. Yes pinned it down to a yeast problem WOW it's seems after the stomach bug back in January pretty wiped my gut out of good bacteria and left a yeast infection going on. I did at that time eat carbs etc. But also I was getting a massive craving to eat sweets . I don't eat sweets as I am a savoury man. (But understand that is the yeast making me crave the other component to making the perfect conditions for my gut brewery ...making ETHANOL My wife and I started on the diet G.I diet then stopped the fumadrem . basically started a base line found that zero alcohol limit. Great But then took some of the good bacteria in the form of yogurt drink guess what by lunch time I was over the limit. Mental ... The yog had sugar in it!!!!! Now my diet is zero sugar and zero carbs.. Re started the fumaderm a couple weeks ago on two tabs a day and Still zero Sorry fumaderm . I am now taking good bacteria in the form of a tablet.. And oregano oil to kill yeast off. My sister in law told me to watch holby city there was a case on there with lady school teacher that didn't drink but her blood levels was over the drink drive limit and no one believed her Yeast again ![]() PS one good thing that I have lose 18 pound in weight and feeling so much better ... Cheers Baz

It's been worrying for you, but thank goodness you found the cause and have been able to rectify it with diet and are now happy to continue on your fumaderm tablets. It's easy to see why they looked like the culprit to you as that was the only thing that had changed. I'm so glad it has proved not to be fumaderm and that nobody on the tablets need fear being over the safe driving limit due to taking them ![]() I think this has been a great thread that has made us think about our medications A positive from your experience is that you found this forum where you can come and discuss problems I hope you keep us updated on the journey with fumaderm as we need more experiences .... Good or bad.... They all help others and give you something to refer to yourself Sounds good that modifying your lifestyle has also helped you shed the pounds Thanks again Baz for this reply I look forward to reading more ![]()

Thank you for the update Baz. I'm with Jim this has been a good thread and an eye opener.
I've removed the reference I made to this thread from the Fumaderm thread. God luck with the diet. Not something I could do myself. ![]()

This thread makes me wonder about my yeast problems. It also reminds me off the nasty antifungal medication that smells like bananas, taste like sewage

Hi Guys
Just a final update. Its gone... ![]() I took a good course of oregano oil and PROBIOTICS every day. I went on a zero sugar and carb diet. I have now added simple carbs only potatoes. Still good And now I have tried and added some sugars. Still good All the yeast tests are now clear.. So the outcome is that I feel healthy lost 2 stone in weight. I am still staying away from SUGAR. just because I feel so much better. Cheers again.. Baz |
