Antibiotic resistance

It will be interesting to hear what your dermatologist says on the subject.
I do not have a scientific mind. I know that with the bronchitis I've had for a few months now, I am on my third antibiotic. However I don't believe that it has anything to do with having psoriasis (could be wrong) but rather trying to find the correct medicine that will work. I do believe we can build up an immunity to certain medicines over time, that just makes sense to me. My daughter can take one over the counter Tylenol and you might as well plan on her taking a nap when she does. She's fortunately been very healthy and medicine usually works quickly with her. I could easily take 4+ Tylenol and it have very little, if any, effect but I've had quite a few meds in my life. I do believe that people with psoriasis are susceptible to other things involving the immune system as Caroline said. I once made a list of my ailments and checked which ones involved the immune system. It was more than I thought it would be! For instance I have RSD/CRPS. When I first researched it all I could find was that the actual cause is unknown. Then I added immune system to the search and started finding more of a possible connection. Here's one: "In its right of functions, the immune system adequately caters for situations of mostly infections, which affect the antibodies of the human anatomy. In the case of RSD, it is an injury." That's just one of many, and sorry to take this a bit off subject, but for those with other health issues, it's worth adding the words "immune system" to your searches to see if there is any connection. |
