Methotrexate Treatments

Every time I took Mtx I fill very tired and weak what I did was to sleep the whole day,    do you fell the same thing?

Jerry are you still getting the same tiredness with the methotrexate

When I was on it it made me very tired and lethargic, plus with me I felt nauseous most of the time but the worst time was the day after taking them

Yes, sadly I found the side effects got gradually worse over time.
But it was quite good in that it took away most of my psoriasis and although I was tired, the improvement was worth it. I stopped taking it after a year because it stopped working.

Hi Jerry, I took MTX for 9 years , 6 years at 25mg by mouth and 3 years at 20mg by self injection ,when I first started taking it I took folic acid every day apart from the MTX day but when I went onto the injections then I only took folic for 1 day a week. MTX never completely cleared me but tiredness was one of the side effects with sickness etc. being some of the others. The sickness etc. was much better when I went onto the injections but of course it does knock your resistance down so I found that it did not take much to upset me at all.
MTX can be a very good treatment and I did reasonably well for 9 years considering where I started from.

Hello jiml, yes I still feel the same thing but now with minimal effect, when I toke methotrexate I force my self too eat more to gain energy and overcome my feeling weak and tired, actually I don't eat meat but during my session I eat meat and more vegetables with 2 cups of rice hehehe.. I'm so happy now with the result what remains in my skin right now is the scars.

Hello jiml, yes I still feel the same thing but now with minimal effect, when I toke methotrexate I force my self too eat more to gain energy and overcome my feeling weak and tired, actually I don't eat meat but during my session I eat meat and more vegetables with 2 cups of rice hehehe.. I'm so happy now with the result what remains in my skin right now is the scars.
