But I noticed something you said regarding amgen- and about safety or shareholders and that "we'll never know." Why is that do you think, That we don't know?
If you get stuck using the forum, just shout out someone will soon help.
My thinking behind it is that all drug manufacturers are only it for one thing, and that is money. They have to keep their shareholders happy and avoid running into legal problems. They have no reason to tell the public about what is going on and they only ever want to give us good news (Spin) that is why we will never know in my opinion.
As for continuing in Japan. I don't know much about legalities in different countries, but my personal opinion is that The USA, Canada and Europe love employing No Win No Fee Sharks. Maybe (and it is only a guess) Japan don't go that way. Maybe legal cases are more difficult to bring to court and seek compensation, so they continue in Japan and get it to market without people employing No Win No Fee Sharks.
Amgen said "We came to believe that labeling requirements likely would limit the appropriate patient population for brodalumab" that is worrying to investors and they would move to another product, so Amgen pull the plug in those countries that want labelling telling us that we all die (Joke) and carry on pleasing investors in a country that isn't so likely to keep dragging them into court.
This is just my opinion and I don't understand the Japanese legal system. But I do know that different countries have different rules on new drugs.
For example Europe approved Cosentyx for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis last year. But we still don't have it in France, and now Germany are saying no for psoriatic arthritis. So the drug manufacturers have to dance around and sink more money into more studies that are probably not needed, they also have to weigh up how good their drug is compared to it's competitor and if their shareholders are happy for them to keep spending.
Oops sorry I went on a bit there, but I noticed you saying you are on a crusade to get the truth and make change. But to be honest I think you are wasting your time as the drug makers don't care about us, yes they have to make a product we are happy using but they have no need to tell us the reason for their decisions.
EDIT: No we don't let Jim sleep.
Hi Fred. Thanks for commenting. Maybe I am wasting my time. Maybe. But if I am at least it's wasted on a worthy cause ya?. And to honest all of the nay sayers just seem to strengthen my resolve, so thanks for the support . I'm a dog on a bone Fred. And I'm . And with respect to your comments on Cosyntex, just because they didn't get approval here and there or for this or that, what's noteworthy here is that they (the makers) didn't throw in the towel and just sell it off. Personally, I think studies are rarely a waste of time or money provided they are conducted properly. now, and back to my crusade, over the next couple months ill probably be picking the brains of yourself and other members. I'll just be looking for opinions and experiences of fellow P sufferers. There's a lot I have to learn, and perhaps teach, but most of all share. And as ive previously stated, if u should come across anyone with ANYTHING to say about brodalumab please send them my way. I do love this forum!!
Someone should probably wake up Jim.
I'm awake and watching you
