Hi Everyone!

Thrilled I found this forum!  Looks fantastic!    Big Grin   Can't wait till I have time to sit and browse through it!   I have plaque psoriasis and started it in about 2007.  Have done at home phototherapy and most prescription topicals.  Sick of it all!   Start Cosentyx next week and can't wait.   Have health care coverage through my company, but of course this new drug is EXCLUDED!   Has me a little worried to say the least.....    Most of my psoriasis is located on my legs, arms, but now developing on my eyelids and lips.  Very painful and not pretty!  Glad to be part of a support group, finally!!  Take care!

Hello Angel  Welcome to Psoriasis Club

First off thank you for the kind words, we work very hard to make it as friendly as possible whilst also keeping it independent.

Please don't hesitate to start a thread about your journey on Cosentyx in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis as your input could help others.

As for sitting down and browsing the contents of Psoriasis Club, I can recommend the Off Topic board for those moments when you want to escape psoriasis but still feel comfortable amongst others. We have many subjects in there to suit all tastes, and you will find my posts are the only sensible ones.  Wink

Regards.

Fred.

Hello Angel,

Welcome to psoriasisclub.
Cosentyx seems to be a good drug, there is information on it over here on the forum. So way to go for you.
Make yourself at home with us. This is a forum with very nice people walking around and with an immense pile of information on the largest variety I know.

We also have an off topic part where we move around just for fun when we don't wanna talk about our psoriasis.

Cheers,
Caroline

Oh, and don't mind a poster called Fred. He is the most awkward. Whistle

Hi nice to meet you!

When I had P on my face, my derm told me to use very small amounts of 1% hydrocortisone (the sort you buy over the counter) on a cotton bud (q-tip?). Hydrocortisone has long since stopped working on the rest of me but this really did work.

As many people think that you shouldn't put any kind of hydrocortisone on your face, and since its on your eyelids, I would ask your own derm first. I'm saying this cos I'm expecting others might shout me down! But this did come from an experienced derm at the hospital.

I've only recently realised that my whole life the cracked corners of my mouth in the winter, or the sore bit round the creases (or even up my nose!) are all to do with psoriasis! Good luck, hope your cosentyx treatment is very successful. Smile
